Who Won World Cup 2019?

Once in four years ICC organize a grand event called World Cup to decide who the champion team among all is.

The ten best teams of the world compete with each other for almost 2 months and then the best two

among them play a final to get their hands on the trophy. We have had seen many close

encounters, but we have never seen something that happened in Lords on Sunday, 14th July,

2019.

It was a world cup final between the two best teams of tournament who reached there, beating

the current world champions Australia and the number one team from league stage- India.

England and New Zealand were playing finals looking for their first ever world cup title.

Everyone have chosen their side for winning but no one knew that none of the side would lose

this one!

Usually when we talk about finals one team freezes under the pressure. Yesterday neither team

did that! It was a final in which both teams gave their hundred percent, as a result of which

both teams ended up scoring same total in the end, which means match was tied and super

over needs to be played to decide the winner between them. They played again, and result was

same this time as well- a tie, but England won the world cup! Wonder how? By ICC rules!!

Looking at the way these two teams played top class match, probably the best in the history of

cricket, the flaws in the ICC rules came into radar. Here are the few which will remain a matter

of discussion until an amendment is made

1. New Zealand scored 241 for 8. England were all out 241. Having lost 2 wickets less, NZ could have

been declared the winner. There was no question of having a super over.

2. Both teams scored equal runs in super over but winner was decided on the basis of who

scored more boundaries in the match. The silliness of this rule got realized when the

cost for losing the match was a world cup trophy. The most fair outcome in this situation

should be a shared trophy or a continuation of super over until we get a definite winner.

3. There should be a rule when someone especially batsman unintentionally gets his bat

on the ball while ball is travelling on the field. Because that unintentional bat on ball

actually decided the fate of the match.

4. A blunder pointed out by cricket's best umpire that there was an error of judgment in

umpiring. The 6 runs that were awarded for the over through should have been 5, since

batsmen didn't crossed at the time of throw.

People often say the rules are already agreed upon at the start, but the worst case scenario

seems to be written in hurry, and nobody cared what if it will ever happen, that too in a world cup

final!!! The rules seemed illogical looking at the gob-smacked cricket displayed by the two

teams, as a result of which, the cup is with England but the World is with New Zealand.

ICC Cricket World Cup Completes 37 Years

On 7 th June 1975 the first ever ICC Cricket World Cup got underway and from their on it became the most important tournament in International cricket . Getting selected in national team and winning the world cup are the ultimate dreams  of every cricketer.

Many interesting stats depicts this short history of world cup and India has marked its presence right from the first edition .The 1975 world cup is also remembered for the 174 ball 36 (not out ) stand of Sunil Gavaskar apart from the fact that West Indies have won it predictably. Next was the year 1983  which was written permanently in the Indian history when the least favorite India done the biggest upset  of the tournament by beating the dominating West Indian in the world cup final and winning the ultimate glory which the generation next of Indian cricket kept on chasing for 28 years .

In 1989 when the maestro made his international debut the  speculations of winning the world cup for India became high . From its first world cup in 1992 to the 2012 world cup the impact of Sachin Tendulkar and India in world cup is open to the every one  . Sachin Tendulkar has always kept his best for this big event ,and that’s why he is the highest run scorer in the World cup . It seems that he perfectly depicts the story of any cricketer right  from dreaming of playing from the national team and accomplishing it at the age of 16 and then chasing the dream of winning the world cup for 22 years and finally winning it at the age of 38 in the year 2012. Well the pathway of winning the world cup itself carry a lot of records for India . From the 1996 world cup match winning innings from Sourav Ganguly to his superb captaincy taking the Indians to the world cup finals in the 2003 world cup in which  Sachin Tendulkar was in magical form , than the 2007 first round exit of Indians which every Indian wants to forget and of course the 2011 world cup which India have won as top favorite.

After the introduction of world cup many teams have dominated the world cricket from West Indies to Australia but India and other Asian countries have always given tough competition to them and produced many legends in the world cricket .A bitter truth associated with the world cup is that England from where cricket came in existence have never won the ICC world cup . South Africa which can be considered as a perfect team have got a chokers tag because of their loosing streak in world cup matches at crucial times  even after playing good cricket throughout the tournament.

The next world cup is in year 2015 which is to be hosted by Australia and New Zealand , it will be interesting to see whether India will be able to retain its title or we  will have new world champions but surly India is going to have an impact on that world cup too from a former champions point of view .

I was just 10 years old when I actually saw what it matters winning a world cup for India and I was not even born ,I think that is enough to define what cricket matters to him .Over 22 years and still he is learning cricket .Many legends came and retired but this man is getting younger with age, the game is surly not going to have a better student than him .

Ravindra Jadeja was just 4 days old ,Virat Kohil was just 35 days old ,Suresh Raina was  3 year old when Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar played his 1^st first class match ,they all grown up watching him play and now are playing with him!!! He is on top of almost all the records in international cricket but these numbers can not define what he served for nation. Ask for Test cricket ,One day cricket ,T-20 IPLs he has excelled in every format of cricket .He loves the language of batting that’s why he speaks with his bat only -you ask a question he will give you a answer with his bat... he enjoys answering !! Words really fell short to describe this great man.

“Enjoy the game and chase your dream ,because dreams do come true ,even I have to wait for my one for 22 years .”That’s the only thing I guess which he admitted in public for what he plays for .

Saturday 2^nd April 2011 Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar had a date with history at Wankhede Stadium ,Mumbai when he lived his 22 year old dream in his 6^th attempt ,the moment for which a nation waited for 28 long years ,the tears in every players eyes were enough to describe what a world cup matters to them .”World cup Winning Day “that’s how we should celebrate it .I have heard about that 1983 victory and if I have to define both than the  1983 win  was simply great and unexpected and that of 2011 was something very expected and great too ,a perfect heroic script of winning a world cup as their was action ,emotion ,drama every thing in it ,every match was important and we have many hero’s in that and the quarter final and semi final along with the final gives a perfect culmination to the script.

Believe it or not but  I actually had  predicted the D Day's events  just in the sequence it took place,starting from it would be between India and Sri Lanka , who's gonna win the toss , India is going it win it by chasing and MS Dhoni will do it for India !!!!!
